A Matter Of Time - The Movie

Twenty years ago, when A Matter Of Time was barely a manuscript, I had the opportunity to meet a man who by that point had spent nearly 30 years as a filmmaker.

David Wisnievitz (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0936586/), produced, co-produced and executive produced over 17 major feature films. He had just wrapped Training Day, starring Denzel Washington, who earned an Oscar for Best Actor in that film.

David heard about my book from a mutual friend and went to my very crude website (it was 2001) and read what I had posted there. When we met, he told me without hesitation, “You have the next Shawshank Redemption, and our friendship began.

We were unable to raise the money back then (9/11 took place a few months later, and the “Great Recession” of 2008 followed). In 2015, several investors asked me to try again and offered to fund the effort. By then, David had retired from film making but responded enthusiastically when I asked him if he would still like to produce the film. For a long time we put effort into putting something together, but the timing was not right. Neither of us lost track of the vision of A Matter Of Time, and what could be done with it.

Currently we have a finished, producible script that is about to be presented to several active, credited filmmakers, including a top actor/producer who is a household name. We are preparing for a successful full production of the adaptation of A Matter Of Time, as a feature film and perhaps later a mini-series made for television. It seems to have a life of its own, so we are walking through the doors that open for us.
